Melissa was born and raised in Colombia. She received her degree in Industrial engineering at the Technological University of Pereira (Colombia), she received an award as a Distinguished Graduate.

Melissa also developed her own business; this step gave her a better view of the entrepreneur’s mindset and everything this involves. In 2012 she married and moved to the United States, where she established a military family full of changes and new opportunities. Becoming part of the team at the WBC was a perfect fit for her interest in business, providing support and promoting small businesses.

Melissa has a strong work ethic, developed through years of customer service jobs, and keeps in mind her entrepreneurial path. She manages numerous projects at one time while always keeping CEED’s client’s best interest in mind.

Like other military spouses, Melissa has learned to adapt to changing circumstances at the drop of a hat and thrive during those changes. The team at CEED and the Women’s Business Center of Fayetteville has mastered this ability to adapt and thrive. Melissa is proud to be a member of the CEED and WBC teams.

Melissa makes one-on-one bilingual consultations and manages the database system to safe keep our client’s data. She also works in the research of Hispanic communities to introduce new Spanish classes like Launchpad, Business Plan Essentials, Strategic Planning, Content writing, and many others.

“I’m a Colombian nature lover who enjoys quality outdoor time with family and friends. My perfect day would start with a beautiful sunrise view and ends with a glass of my favorite wine at the beach.”
